Running the unsigned build
Because the app isn't notarized yet, macOS will block it on first launch with a message like “Noeth is damaged and can't be opened” or “cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified”. Pick whichever method works for you:
- Option 1 — Right-click to open
In Applications, right-click (or Control-click) Noeth and choose Open, then confirm in the dialog. This is a one-time step.
- Option 2 — Allow in System Settings
Try to open Noeth normally, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to the Noeth entry.
- Option 3 — Remove the quarantine flag (Terminal)
If the app still refuses to launch, open Terminal and run:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Noeth.appThis clears the quarantine attribute macOS adds to files downloaded from the web. Safe to run once.
